Life Coaching Policies
Policies, Terms & Conditions
Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
We prioritize your privacy in all our coaching sessions. Any discussions we have will remain private and will not be shared without your consent. However, it is important to understand that coaching does not have the same legal confidentiality protections as clergy, therapists, or attorneys. Despite this, we maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard your personal information. We will only share your details with others if you have expressly agreed or requested us to do so.
Life Coaching and Insurance
Insurance companies do not cover life coaching because it does not involve treating medical conditions. Licensed mental health professionals can submit diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for potential insurance reimbursement. However, life coaching is focused on personal development and growth rather than treating these clinical issues, making it ineligible for insurance coverage.
Location for Coaching
For clients in the Colorado Springs area, coaching sessions can be held in person at my office located in town. You also have the option to schedule a Zoom call if you prefer.
Session Preparation
When you schedule a coaching session, you will receive an email with a New Client Questioner to complete. You will only need to complete this form one time. From there, we will schedule a time to connect for your first life coaching session.
Rescheduling or Cancellations
If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, you can do so within 24 hours and not have to pay a cancellation fee of $50.00. Any cancellations that occur within 24 hours of your appointment are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee. I won't be able to schedule any additional future sessions until all open balances are paid.
Please understand that my cancellation policies don't exist to add any additional financial burdens on my clients. Because I am offering my time as a service, the time slots available on my calendar are very important.
Coaching vs Therapy
Life coaching is not the same as counseling or therapy, and doesn't exist to diagnose or treat mental and physical issues required by a licensed professional.
Christian life coaching vs regular counseling/therapy
Biblical coaching and whole care are different than counseling or therapy in that it works with people who are generally healthy, want to achieve new goals or form better habits in their life and would benefit from walking with others who can help them discover the best plan of action founded on Biblical principles and trust in Jesus.
Christian coaching vs Christian counseling
Biblical/Christian counseling focuses on using qualified skills and insight to help people identify and resolve issues from the past that are effecting their present. Biblical coaching focuses on helping someone identify their future goals and providing motivation and encouragement to help them follow through with achieving those goals.
